Dischord

More obscene than scene, Dischord formed when their town's only rock club, The Tache, was bulldozed to make way for an office block. To celebrate its last night, they recorded the “Your Father's Moustache” EP, 100 copies of which were given away on the door.

Their ferocious début album, The Wakes, described as “a flawless punk rock extravaganza” by Let The Music Do The Talking, is now available.

A far cry from generic punk sloganeering, The Wakes takes a look at modern day Britain from the perspective of a small town, and how our everyday lives and actions affect the country as a whole, from mundane jobs to trash tabloid culture, local elections, failing music scenes and vice, all backed up with a killer punk soundtrack. Music is Dead and Dischord want revenge.

This album is the punk-rock release of the year. An unrelenting juggernaut that leaves you feeling flame-licked.” - Punktastic

If you’re after a bloody good punk rock band, look no further. As far as début albums go, ‘The Wakes’ is incredible and nothing short of excellent.” - Dead Press
